The proposal reinterprets the remains of an old factory to transform them into a temporary home with a unique and luxurious personality, designed for an aeronautical pilot. This space combines original elements with modern interventions, creating a functional place for both social and professional life, in harmony with its natural surroundings.
Concept
The temporary home is organized on two levels. On the ground floor, the social and work areas are delimited by a lattice and a dividing cellar, while on the upper floor there are the bedroom, dressing room, bathroom and a small gym. The vertical circulation, inspired by airport walkways, pays homage to the owner's profession.
Typology
Original elements such as the exposed stone wall and existing floors are restored, adding a large window on the north wall to maximise natural light and views of the forest. Domes are replaced with translucent glass to soften the incidence of sunlight, and service areas are raised to accommodate facilities without altering the original structure.
