CONTACT

It can be a call, a text message, or a casual meeting. During this initial conversation, we will talk in general terms about the project and the users who will use it. Then, we will arrange a face-to-face meeting, where we will ask you to bring a sketch, a drawing, a site plan, or the idea you have. It is important that everyone involved in the decision-making attends, since a design only acquires true meaning when you, as an essential part of the process, actively participate, contributing your perspectives and expectations from the beginning.

02 The Pact.webp

COVENANT

Before starting any conversation about the project, it is essential to get to know you, the other half. A successful design is built on understanding the family, the users and/or clients, and their history. Afterwards, we will talk about the project and carry out some activities that will allow us to obtain a broader diagnosis to find, later on, the best solutions. At the end, we will review what we call the “Road Map”, where we will explain in detail the next steps to follow, fees and the plans that will be delivered at each stage.

03 Client-Site.webp

PLACE

Where would I like to have breakfast? Under the shade of a tree, feeling the freshness of the morning? On a terrace with views that invite calm? At this stage we will return to what we discussed at El Pacto and allow ourselves to connect with the environment. We will explore the site paying attention to every detail, observing the sunlight, feeling the direction of the wind, and noticing the predominant textures and colors. We will walk around the place in a relaxed manner, talking and letting ourselves be surprised by the potential and opportunities that each corner can offer to create a unique and meaningful space.

04 Presentation of Variants.webp

VARIANTS

With the three previous steps completed, we are ready to offer a more precise diagnosis. There is no single correct path to an ideal solution. At this stage, we will present you with different options based on what we have previously discussed, focusing on the layout of the spaces on the floor plan and other supporting elements that facilitate the understanding of the project (3D volumes, sections, etc.) according to its particularities. We can choose a variant, combine them or even discard them. The fundamental thing is to ensure that all requirements have been heard and understood.

05 Return.webp

RETURN

After the presentation of the Variants , if one option or none is chosen (in which case we will repeat the meeting with new proposals), you will have the opportunity to take them with you to discuss them with your family, partners or friends. This will give you time to analyze your project in depth. It is common that, as the days go by, ideas will emerge about elements that you want to add, modify or remove. This is the key moment for the creative participation of the users, a fundamental objective for us. When you are ready, we will schedule a new meeting to discuss your observations.

06 Final Adjustment.webp

FINAL ADJUSTMENT

Together we have chosen the variant that meets the design requirements established from our first meeting, considering functionality, square meters and cost. Now it is time to formalize the project, defining construction criteria, installation steps, finishes and general details that must be studied in depth. Detailed architectural plans, sections and elevations will be made, as well as 3D perspectives (renders). This final package, if necessary, will be reviewed to have your desired final project. This is known as the Preliminary Project.

07 Delivery of the Instruction Manual.webp

INSTRUCTION MANUAL

We now have the information for our final project, focused on the architectural design. Although sometimes it is enough to start building, it is not the most advisable, since there are still questions to be answered. Here we focus on key aspects: masonry, ironwork, window frames, carpentry, finishes and installations (electrical, hydraulic, sanitary, rainwater and gas), as well as complex details. These plans do not replace those prepared by specialists, and we always recommend consulting a structural engineer. This is known as the Executive Project.

Why an Architect?

Poor planning of any space not only entails an extra financial cost, but also seriously affects the quality of life of those who live, work or carry out activities in it. Thinking about hiring an architect often seems complicated or expensive, and it is mistakenly believed that problems can be solved on the fly. However, it is in the end that we discover that a poorly distributed, ventilated or illuminated space can turn our daily life into a challenge.

Furthermore, many clients are not clear about what they will receive when hiring an architect, which can lead to dissatisfaction if they feel that their wishes were not met. That is why, at Punto 19, we believe in transparency and constant communication. Designing a space is important, regardless of its size or function, and that is why we put at your disposal our work method, based on the experiences of Architect Rodolfo Livingston and ours, so that you know exactly what to expect throughout the entire process.
