The need to update SAGARPA's biological containment systems gave way to an ambitious challenge: to design an incinerator station capable of effectively eliminating hazardous agents accidentally introduced by international tourism.
The project took shape as a versatile and iconic construction, designed to be replicated in different parts of the country. Inspired by modular innovation, a prefabricated station was designed that combines reinforced concrete elements with the help of BASALTEX. The result: a fast, efficient and functional building.

In a record time of just over a year, 18 stations were built, with Cancun being the starting point for the first prototype. Three work teams took on the challenge of building in various regions of the Mexican Republic, perfecting the execution times with each station. The secret to success: impeccable logistical planning and solid leadership that allowed construction times to be reduced by up to 50%.
